Masters of the Elements
Masters of the Elements was one of the best experiences that I have had in my lifetime. Starting from nothing, Ben Sadd and I worked together for two years on this project that was aimed at bringing students together through new experiences centered around travel, nature, and adrenaline. Over the course of a few months, this club went from non-existent to having the most members (appx: 60) out of any club on campus. From conceptualizing trips, planning, budgeting, fundraising, and promoting; Ben and I were there from start to finish. During my time with the club, we successfully brought these students to:
- Ski / Snowboard in VT
- Camp in the Adirondacks
- Hike the two largest peaks in New York State
- Multiple Skydiving Trips
- Whitewater Raft the Snowmelt in the Adirondacks
Unfortunately, I had to wave goodbye to “Masters of the Elements” due to graduation. If there were any reason to leave, I suppose this was the appropriate one. Shortly after, Steve Coccia (our advisor), received a full page spread in the area newspaper to talk about the club.
